Verbs: Talk to them about they are moving (sitting, running, jumping, climbing etc)
Category: Can they sort items into groups? This is called category sorting such as identify farm and zoo animals correctly. Clothes - what do we wear in the summer/winter.
Questions: Can they answer Who?, What?, Where? & Why? questions about a story and predict what will happen next. Can they justify their answer?
Prepositions: Can they place items correctly? For example can they place a ball UNDER a table? Next to the TV? In the middle (between)?

Swimming
Year 2 pupils will be swimming throughout the year. 2S will be the first class to swim in groups of 15. Your child will receive a letter when it is their turn to swim. Please ensure that children have a swimming costume and a large towel. Children may also bring swimming goggles and a swim cap.
The Children in year two have been showing different representations of number and recognising numbers up to 100 in words.
