Recapping our knowledge of numbers 1-5
Yesterday we learnt about the number and value of 0 (zero).
Today we are refreshing our understanding of the numbers 1-5.
Take a look at the ‘can you recognise the number’ powerpoint and see if you know the numbers.
After that, open the ‘subitising 1-5’ powerpoint.
With this activity, we want you to flash up the dots and then flick to the next slide. Can you remember how many dots there were? Go back to the slide to check and see if you were right. Maybe you can describe how the dots appear for example (there were 5 dots, a group of 3 and a group of 2).
As a final activity we would like you to have a go at writing the numbers 1-5. Try and do it from memory- but you can copy this picture below if you need some support. Start at the green dot and finish at the red dot.
