Recapping our knowledge of numbers 1-5

Yesterday we learnt about the number and value of 0 (zero).

Today we are refreshing our understanding of the numbers 1-5.

Take a look at the ‘can you recognise the number’ powerpoint and see if you know the numbers.

After that, open the ‘subitising 1-5’ powerpoint.

With this activity, we want you to flash up the dots and then flick to the next slide. Can you remember how many dots there were? Go back to the slide to check and see if you were right. Maybe you can describe how the dots appear for example (there were 5 dots, a group of 3 and a group of 2).

As a final activity we would like you to have a go at writing the numbers 1-5. Try and do it from memory- but you can copy this picture below if you need some support. Start at the green dot and finish at the red dot.

Welcome to Anglesey Primary School… Watch our children talking to pop star Jack Savoretti on the BBC https://twitter.com/bbcwm/status/1524401477237760000?s=20&t=9wZSlow0kYybBF9lPVYwTQ .Information about Isolation if someone in the household has tested positive for Covid. The following information is taken directly from a Public Health webinar with Dr Justin Varney: Director of Public Health, Birmingham City Council. (06.01.22) If someone in your household has tested positive and your child is 5 years old or over, they should come into school. The child should do daily lateral flow tests. If someone in your household has tested positive and your child is under 5, then they should stay at home with the person who has tested positive until the isolation period is over.
