Now, to stop COVID 19, we all need to stay in our homes and self-isolate to stop COVID 19 from spreading from one person to another.

Here is a poster asking people to stay home.

Can you design your own poster to get people to stay in their homes?

This is called persuasive writing. It is a type of writing that changes or influences somebody’ s opinion; like persuading somebody to buy certain shoes or getting a latest phone.

Remember to add;

* A title

* Key information;

  1. people should stay at home
  2. Only go out to get food, medicine or exercise.
  • * Give reason (why)- to stop the virus spreading - stop  getting   people ill.

* Use powerful vocabulary to reiterate your opinion

* Add drawings, pictures or cartoons.

Take two days to make this poster and take a photo of your poster and email me at

slb@anglesey.bham.sch.uk

Video:  For the Birds

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYTrIcn4rjg

You watched this video yesterday. Watch this again and think

  • What bullying might look like?
  • How bullying makes a person feel?
  • Do you think that the bird in the clip was being bullied?

Now download and make a spider gram about;

  1. Why do people bully others? E.g. someone looks different, jealousy etc.
  2. What are different types of bullying? E.g. name calling, teasing, hitting, ignoring etc

        Video:  For the Birds

Watch this short video clip twice.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYTrIcn4rjg

Think about what you have watched and discuss with someone;

How were the smaller birds unkind to the big bird?

Why do you think they treated the big bird like that?

What did they do to the big bird?

What did they say about him?

Were any of the smaller birds worse than the others and why?

How do you think this made the big bird feel?

Did the smaller birds deserve their consequence?

Is there a moral to the story?
