History

In the last few days Mr Jordan has taught you a little bit about the different religions we have here in the United Kingdom. For a long time (around 1500 years) the main religion in England has been Christianity.

What religion did the Anglo-Saxons follow?

The Anglo-Saxons  who ruled England around 1500 years ago were pagans when they came to  Britain, but, as time passed, they gradually converted to Christianity. Pagans worshiped lots of different gods but the Chief God is called Woden (Odin).

Carefully read the information about Woden below and then answer the questions. You could write your answers down or you could just discuss your answers with someone in your family. The answers are underneath the questions but resist the temptation to cheat. (The numbers down the left hand side show the total word count as you read down through each line)

Welcome to Anglesey Primary School… Watch our children talking to pop star Jack Savoretti on the BBC https://twitter.com/bbcwm/status/1524401477237760000?s=20&t=9wZSlow0kYybBF9lPVYwTQ .Information about Isolation if someone in the household has tested positive for Covid. The following information is taken directly from a Public Health webinar with Dr Justin Varney: Director of Public Health, Birmingham City Council. (06.01.22) If someone in your household has tested positive and your child is 5 years old or over, they should come into school. The child should do daily lateral flow tests. If someone in your household has tested positive and your child is under 5, then they should stay at home with the person who has tested positive until the isolation period is over.
