Year 4
All the Year 4 staff would like to welcome all the parents and children back after the Christmas holidays. We are excited about the Spring term.
4F are now going swimming. They are very excited about learning new skills in the pool and building confidence in the water. Please make sure they have an appropriate swimming kit every Thursday.
PE Timetable
PE days in Year 4:
4W- Mondays and Fridays
4M- Mondays and Wednesdays
4F- Wednesdays and Thursdays
Please make sure a PE kit is in school at all times, including a white t-shirt and black shorts/leggings/tracksuit and PE pumps/trainers.
This term we are reading The Iron Man in Literacy and researching about The Digestive System in Science. Ask your child about the story or some facts that they have learned so far.
We are also going to be focusing on Fractions and Decimals in the upcoming weeks in Numeracy.
Homework
Children in Year 4 are expected to know all of their timetables (12x12) and be able to recall the multiplication facts quickly. Children should practise these facts every night.
Children in Year 4 are also expected to do at least 10 minutes of reading every night after school.

*Read Theory - all children have a log in and password that they can use at home for reading.
Art and Architechture
4F - Earlier, we drew the houses in our urban environment. Then, we made them out of clay.
