Year 1
The Squeaky Story
Welcome back to Anglesey Primary School. We hope you all enjoyed your February break.
This term we are learning about plants and will be growing our own runner beans. Help your child by showing them plants in your own garden or park. Please remind children not to pick the flowers.
In mathematics we are looking at the relationship between addition and subtraction in numbers within 20. We are also looking at place value within 50. Help your child by asking them how many tens and ones are in a number.
We have started a new topic of dance. We have some amazing movers and shakers in year 1 and they will be learning a dance routine to perform to the parents before we break up for Easter.
In literacy we are learning The Squeaky Story. We will be writing our own stories using The Squeaky Story to help us.
World Book Day is 7th March. Children can come to school dressed as a character from The Squeaky Story.

Welcome to Year 1
The staff in Year 1 would like to welcome back all of the children. They have settled in really well and have impressed us with how excited they are to learn.
The staff who will be working with your children are:

Please make sure your child has their kit in school throughout the term, it will be sent home for washing at the end of the half term. All jewellery including earrings should be removed for PE.
