Child Initiated Activity 1

Activity 1: Talk about Winter and decay

Objective: (1) To talk about aspects of Winter;
(2) To know what decay is and how to identify signs of decay e.g. rotting leaves

 

Use the PowerPoint slides (attached below) to talk about the Winter season.

What does your child notice about their surroundings this time of year?

Discuss what happens to the fallen leaves and how they decay and decompose at this time of year ready to support new growth in Spring and Summer.
