School Council

We are the school council and we are going to tell you about what we have done this year.  We have:

  • discussed issues that we felt strongly about to do with our school.
  • thought that there was too much litter around school and the local area.
  • learnt about why litter is not good for us.
  • researched what a good poster looks like.
  • made posters to tell people not to drop litter.
  • made a PowerPoint to tell the other children not to drop litter.
  • done a presentation to the children in a KS1 assembly.
  • chosen books for the new school library in KS1.
  • cleared the space for the new school library.

We look forward to another year of discussions next year.

This is what KS2 School Council have said...

School Council is all about deciding how to sort out problems and make the school a better place. We meet each week, over a working lunch. We benefit the school because all together we discuss school problems and decide what we can do.

Our School Council works to:

Let everyone have their say
Make choices and changes

Each class has a Class Council, which also meets every week. Issues from Class Councils can then be brought to School Council. In every class, a representative is elected to talk about any problems that need to be discussed.

Hello everyone... The 24 Hour Live teach-a-thon has raised an incredible £5689. Mr Keeling and Mr Jordan will be purchasing devices very soon. Thank you for all of your support and donations. This will really make a huge difference to the remote learning of lots of our pupils.
