Subtraction on a number line

 

Mr Jorden, from Year 3 is explaining how to subtract two number using an number line. (difference between 2 numbers)

To do this you need to know number pairs that make 10

e.g.  2 + 8  = 10.

        3 + 7 = 10 and so on.

Now try to make up your own sums and practise subtracting on a number line.
