Welcome to Year 2
It is lovely to see all of the children back in school after the summer holidays! We are really looking forward to getting back into class and would like to reassure you that we are dedicated to providing a safe and happy place for the children to learn .
We will update this class page to inform you of key information and we will post photos and videos so you can see what your children have been learning.
Year 2 Teachers:
2C- Miss Coleman

2D- Miss Duncan
Year 2 Teaching Assistants:
The children should have suitable PE kits in school at ALL times. Please NAME all items to prevent them from going missing. Kits should include: white t-shirt, black shorts/ leggings and suitable pumps or trainers. During the colder months a tracksuit top and bottoms help to keep the children warm outside.
The children will be given a library book to take home. Please support your children's education by listening to them read out loud and talking about what they have read. Encourage them to ask questions. Books should be looked after and cared for at home and returned to the school promptly.
To support your children's understanding of Mathematics please take every opportunity to teach them about money - all the different coins, how they add up and how to work out change. You could also look at and talk about how to read the time on both analogue and digital clocks.
Please check this website regularly for updates and information.
If you have any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org putting your child's name and class in the subject line.
