Writing

Mrs Patterson has asked you to research a person who you would like to write a biography about. You can use books and the internet to research.

A biography is full of INFORMATION and FACTS and tells the reader everything that is special or interesting about a person.

Biographies are usually about famous people but they can be about anybody.

If you are not sure who to research and write your biography about here are a few ideas:

Lionel Messi - footballer

Simone Biles - gymnast

Boris Johnson - Prime Minister

Betty Boothroyd - politician

Queen Elizabeth II - Queen

Henry VIII - King

Mary Anning - fossil hunter

Charles Darwin - biologist

Have a look at this list which tells you some of the things you have to remember when you write your biography.

Use this template to help you remember what information you need for your biography. You can either print this sheet out  to write on, or just copy down the different sections.

The following information is taken directly from a Public Health webinar with Dr Justin Varney: Director of Public Health, Birmingham City Council. (06.01.22) If someone in your household has tested positive and your child is 5 years old or over, they should come into school. The child should do daily lateral flow tests. If someone in your household has tested positive and your child is under 5, then they should stay at home with the person who has tested positive until the isolation period is over.
