Todays PSHE lesson is all about recognising and understanding that We all have feelings
Everyday feelings
To start off the lesson ask your child
‘How do you feel today?’ give your child a few minutes to think quietly before they answer.
On a plain piece of paper ask your child to draw a simple Alien, and add the heading ‘Feelings’. Explain that the alien, Maz, is visiting earth to discover more about people, and today Maz wants to learn all about feelings. Ask your child to tell Maz everything they know about feelings, recording their responses on the paper.
Explain to your child that we all have different feelings — some we might feel every day, and others just sometimes. Our feelings can come and go, and can change over time.
Using the feelings your child has come up with, show Maz what different feelings might look like on people’s faces and bodies. For example, ask:
Feelings face match
Use the work sheet below and ask your child if they can match the feelings to the correct face.
