To start off your work today, you need to watch the video to the Number Fun song 'Square Number Bashing'. You have been singing this song at school in your lessons to help you recall the square numbers. I have also recorded a video which shows you how to use a multiplication board to further understand why a number is a square number. Please watch both of these, join in with the song and use the multiplication board if you need to.
You have a link to TTRs. Please complete 10 soundchecks, send somebody a rockslam challenge and have 10 sessions in the studio or garage. You might also want to take part in a festival!
Multiplication using the column method:
Please watch the video below for multiplication using the column method for 4 digit numbers multiplied by 2 digit numbers. I have also added the task that links to this video.
If you are finding this hard, then scroll down the page to the work from the last 8 days and watch the videos for:
Multiply a 2 digit number by a 1 or 2 digit number
Multiply a 3 digit number by a 1 digit number
Multiply a 4 digit number by a 1 digit number
Friday 15th January 2021
Today we are going to continue with the multiplication and division work, but with a focus on multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000.

Both of these videos focus on teaching you how to multiply and divide by 10, 100 and 1000. The Moving Digits website will help you to see which direction the digits move in and by how many places they move.
Please complete the task on paper or a white board and email it to your teacher at y5@anglesey.bham.sch.uk
You can also use your TTRs account and complete 10 soundchecks or 10 sessions in the garage. Can you send your teacher or classmate a rockslam challenge too?
