Welcome to Year 3!

We are so pleased to see all of the children back in school after the summer holidays! It's been lovely to start getting to know our classes and as always we are doing our best to ensure everyone is safe and happy in school.

The children have settled in well into the junior building and are adjusting to their new environment well. We will update this class page to inform you of key information and we will post photos and videos so you can see what your children have been learning.

PE:

This year, we have decided that the children will wear PE Kits to school on PE days. The correct PE kit is a black tracksuit/leggings,  white T-shirt and black trainers.

Please ensure that children are dressed in the correct PE kit

3PC PE day is Tuesday

3P and 3A PE day is Thursday

Homework:

Your child will be receiving homework every week.  Please ensure the homework is completed to help support their learning in school.  The children are using their planners to jot down what the homework is.  Please check your child's planner for more information.

Times Table Checks:

As you may be aware we are awarding our children with badges when they can demonstrate that they have memorised specific times tables for their age group.

Year 2 - children should be able to recall their 2,5 and 10 times table off by heart.  If they do this they will be awarded a yellow badge.

Year 3 - children should be able to recall their 3,4 and 8 times table off by heart.  If they do this they will be awarded a blue badge.

Year 4 - children should be able to recall all of their times tables off by heart.  If they do this they will be awarded a Green badge.

Children can attain their green badge in any year group providing they can recall all times table facts!  Last year we had 50 children achieve their green badge in Year 3!!!

We have many exciting things planned for Year 3. Check back on the website for more updates as the term progresses.
