Child Initiated Activity 2

Activity 2: Friendship drawing

 

Objectives: To talk about friendship (relating to the book ‘The Girls’ by Lauren Ace)

Ask your child to draw a picture of themselves and their friend (or friends).

Have a chat with them about what makes a good friend. For example, what does a good friend do, what things might they say, etc.

With your support, see if your child can think of words to describe a good friend and use their phonic skills to have a go at writing these to label their drawing e.g. caring, helpful, kind, funny, etc.
