School Council

Welcome to the school council blog!

What school council is......

Basically a group of pupils from every class  in the whole school comes together to meet every Tuesday. we discuss problems and solve them. Sometimes two school council members go to Mr Davies or Ms Hughes to report the problem and then they help to solve the problem.

Road safety Campaign

Lately drivers have been parking on the yellow zigzag lines.Children are in danger. Please help.We are trying our best to help overcome this dangerous problem. It's really important that pupils cross the road safely.

CARS AND KIDS DON'T MIX!

They raised £68.70 for charity. Thank you to all of you who bought books and toys at the sale.

The Book and Toy sale was organised by the school council to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer

School Council - Years 1 and 2

We are in the school council and are in Year 2.

We have been meeting every week with Mrs Kelk.

We meet once a month with the whole school council.

In our meetings we have talked about what new play equipment we want in the playground. We have talked about what books we want in our class room.

We have organised an old book and toy fair for charity.

School Council

Our School Council works to:

  • Let everyone have their say
  • Make choices and changes

At Anglesey, all children from Y1 – Y6 elect a Representative to be a member of the School Council. It meets every week with Mrs Johnson (a special needs teacher) and Mr Moore (a Y5 teacher).

We support and sponsor a child through the charity Plan UK. We have an event each year that raises the money we have promised to send to her, her family and her village.

As well as bringing about changes in School rules and trying to make School life even better, we arrange an Annual Talent Show.
