The staff in Speech & Language Resource Base would like to welcome back all of the children. They have settled in really well are ready to learn.

The staff who will be working with your children are:

Mrs Akhtar                                             Mrs Padwagga

Miss Taylor                                            Mrs Hutton

Mrs Profetta

(Inclusion Manager)

Juliet Blease and Jenny Clarke

All children from our Resource Base will have swimming lesson on Thursdays and PE lessons on Mondays or Tuesdays.

We are excited that all children will have Tabla lessons (a pair of Indian drums).  It will help children to increase their body awareness, develop kinesthetic skills, coordination and self-control. Playing rhythms also improves listening skills and increases the children’s ability to focus for extended periods of time. We are sure that children will enjoy learning this new skill.

What we will be learning this term

English: We will be reading ‘Street Child’ Novel. The children will bring a lot of reading material home to read.

Maths: We will be looking at numbers to 10,000 and the place value of 4 digit numbers and understanding thousands, hundreds, tens and ones.

WE will be consolidating four mathematical operations; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

We will learn the 3, 4, and 6 times tables in addition to 2, 5, 10 and 11.

History: We will be learning about Queen Victoria and The Victorians.
