English

We started our new writing approach last week.

We introduced the children to The Write Stuff and looked at the Three tiers

FANTASTICS

GRAMMARISTICS

BOOMTASTICS

If the children learn how to use the symbols properly in each tier, their writing will improve.

The symbol we are looking at today is the taste symbol.

Ms D put an image of The Lady and the Tramp and asked you to recall the senses and write 5 sentences. You should all know the senses.

Today I want you to focus on 1 sense (Taste)

I have put 3 images on the page.  I would like you first to jot notes (list lots of taste words for each picture)  Then write a good sentence using some of your jottings.

Example pic 1

Jottings might be.

sensation

savoured

essence

salty

tangy

lacing

slurp

Sentence example:

As the dogs slurped on the tangy spaghetti, a tomato sensation exploded in their mouths.

Can you think of your own sentences for all three pictures?
