Our 7 School Rules

1. We keep our hands and feet and other objects to ourselves

2. We speak politely to everyone

3. We do as we are told first time

4. We put up our hands we don't call out

5. We walk around school sensibly

6. We listen to whoever is speaking

7. We finish our work in the time set by our teachers

 

Rewards Sanctions
1. Verbal praise Verbal warning

2. Name on positive side x1

3. Positive side x2. Star

Negative side x2. Separated from

other children within own class (5-30

minutes depending on age)

4. Positive side x3. 2 Stars and a sticker

Negative side x3. Sent to another class in

the year group (5-30 minutes depending

on age)

5. Positive side x4. 2 stars and go to the

Head/Deputy for a 'commendation' on the

computer

Negative side x4. Sent to Head/Deputy and a record is made on the system

 

There is a severe clause. A child will be sent straight to the Head/Deputy if they:

  • Wilfully inflict harm on another child
  • Wilfully destroy property
  • Overtly refuse to do what he/she is told
  • Do anything that prevents the rest of the class from functioning
  • Deliberately endanger someone else
If your child shows exceptionally kind, caring or thoughtful behavior towards others, they can be sent straight to the Head/Deputy for a commendation and a sticker.

POS and NEG 1 This is POS from the Infants POS is for rewards.
POS and NEG 2 This is Neg. Neg is for sanctions.

If a child achieves X4 Positive Sides they are sent to the Head/Deputy.

 

One X4=sticker and a commendation on the computer

Two X4=sticker and letter to parents and a commendation

Three X4=sticker and a prize and a commendation

Four X4=Behaviour Certificate and a commendation

If your child talks about 'Dojo' points, these relate to class rules and learning behaviours, rather than the 7 school rules.
