Local Events and community links

Dear friends,

I am delighted to inform you that we are having our first day of Action for 'Lozells in Bloom 2017'

this Saturday. Join many residents and volunteers on Saturday 4th March for a spring clean of Lozells as part of a city wide campaign.

We invite you to come to Aspire & Succeed 3a Carpenters Rd, Lozells, B19 2BA at 11.45am to meet the team, collect your spring clean gear and plan what will happen on your street. A warm welcome with hot drinks and refreshments will await you. Those residents who join in will be prioritised for a Spring hanging basket in the coming weeks in recognition of your efforts.

We want to transform Lozells and feel proud to live and work here. Your own participation and support in sharing this action to others in the area is most welcomed.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.

Kind Regards

Anwar Karim

Community Warden

Anglesey Parent's gardening Group

Parent's gardening group meets once every 2 weeks on Friday mornings between 9 and 10am.

We will be holding sessions in the garden for as long as the weather allows.

Stong footwear and warm clothes are a good idea.

No previous knowledge or experience necessary.

The programme has been put together with parents and includes a wide range of topics including:

basic plant science, garden design, planting techniques, indoor plants, hanging baskets and garden improvements.

There is a possibility that we may form a garden action group and do work in each other's gardens.

We've only just started so it's a great time to join.

The next few dates are;

Oct 10, Oct 24, Nov 14, Nov 28 and Dec 12.

When the weather gets a little unfriendly we will meet inside the school.

If you are interested in joining the club please contact Mr Davies (KS2 deputy head).
